Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Controller to lead and oversee the entire accounting function. This role will manage a team of 10+ accounting professionals, ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and operational efficiency. As a key member of the executive team, the Controller will work closely with the finance team to support strategic decision-making, optimize financial processes, and drive business success.
Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, financial reporting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 10+ accounting professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting in compliance with GAAP.
  • Establish and maintain strong internal controls and policies to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance.
  • Work closely with the finance team on budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and strategic planning.
  • Provide financial insights to executive leadership to support business growth and operational efficiency.
  • Manage external audits, tax filings, and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial reporting and operational effectiveness.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to align financial strategies with business objectives.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA preferred).
  • 8+ years of progressive accounting leadership experience, preferably in the service industry.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop large accounting teams (10+ direct reports).
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting.
  • Experience with ERP systems and financial software.
  • Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and collaborate with executive leadership.
